I don't know if any of you read my original post for day 121 but I have edited it about 1/2 hour after originally posting it. I had originally talked about watching Rescue Me but I just want to say for the record IT SUCKS! It is rude, crude and pornographic. Do NOT be tempted if that sort of thing is a turn off to you because it is gross! Enough said!

ReplyDelete"rescue me" is a tv serie/show,so actors in this serie curse a lot and are very rude!!!!i watched it in english/american versions.
it is not for children,of course.but remember this si just a tv show:real life is different.i think they used some pranks or funny stories they heard about firefighters and put them in the serie to make people laugh....

ReplyDeleteOf course I was not expecting reality on television. And the coarse comments and pranks are not what disgusted me. But at the same time, I did not need the graphic images of everybody and their brother having sex and being into sado-masochism and such. It would be one thing if alluded to or not being done so graphically on screen but it did not leave much to the imagination and I do not believe that it has any place on television. I am not a prude by any means but that was over the top and beyond all decency in my opinion. The story lines are interesting in some cases (like the fact that the main character keeps seeing and talking to ghosts and one of the guys discovering he has a daughter and not knowing what to do when her mother passes away and he has no parenting skills of his own) but the unneccessary garbage thrown in is a turn off. With a title like Rescue Me I would have expected to see more of the compassion that real rescuers exhibit not all the superfluous garbage that was thrown in instead.
I have heard and read articles from firemen that really hate the show and I have talked to a few that were willing to overlook the garbage and lack of reality to just enjoy it for entertainment. I am disappointed, personally.
